Spittoono XXX will continue RAIN OR SHINE!

Come Be Indecent With Us At Spittono XXX!

The Redneck Performing Arts Association (RPAA) is gearing up for a record setting year at Spittoono XXX. The
event, celebrating its 30th anniversary will be held from Thursday, August 19th through Saturday, August 21st. As
always, Spittoono features live music, entertainment, food, drinks, and t-shirts as a means to generate funds for upstate
charities that benefit kids and “kritters”. The event is held annually at the Clemson Armory located just off the
Clemson University Campus on Highway 76 (Clemson Boulevard). The festival opens each night at 6 pm, and closes
at 2 am, including Saturday night.

Jeremiah Hurley, Vice President of the RPAA, says that with support from sponsors like Budweiser of Greenville, The
Rise Guys Morning Show on 93.3 The Planet, the Esso Club, and many others, he and other volunteers hope to
continue to beat each previous year's attendance record. “Even with the rain we had last year, it was a big success” he
said. “Probably over 12,000 people combined, but the Thursday Night crowd was really impressive”.

This year's tongue-in-cheek theme of “Indecently Redneck” celebrates the 30th anniversary of Spittoono and the
growth the event has experienced in recent years. Organizers have also announced the band list which features 17 live
bands over the course of the three night event. Harry Nicholson, a Seneca resident and Board Member of the RPAA
says “It’s a great way to spend a weekend in the Upstate. Bring someone with you, bring your dog if you want. What
better place is there to enjoy great music, friendship, and cold drinks on a summer evening than in Clemson – all for
free?”

Funds that are generated from the sale of beer, wine, t-shirts, koozies, and food at the festival are donated to charities
that are selected by the board of directors annually. A list of the charities that were selected to receive a portion of the
$13,300 from the festival last year can be found on the website www.spittoono.org.

Admission to Spittoono is always free and attendees are asked to leave their coolers at home. “We want everyone
from all age groups to come out, enjoy the music, and help us support some great organizations. Students and locals
alike have been coming out for years to support what we do and to celebrate the start of the new school year along
with the upcoming football season” says Justin Rakey, Board Member.

The RPAA is registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State as a non profit organization and operates for the
sole purpose of the Spittoono event and its charitable donations that follow.
